How do I list an ad on myoutdoorgear.com?
To sell an item on our site you may click either “Sell” in the Main Menu or the orange “Post An Ad” button the far right side of the Main Menu. You must then select what category you want your ad to appear in (Hunting, Men’s Clothing, Optics, etc). From there you may be asked to select a subcategory for your product.
Once you click “Go” you will be taken to the product details page. Here you will fill-out the details regarding the product you wish to sell. Be as descriptive as possible! If posting an image, make sure the picture is clear enough that a potential buyer can see the product. *There is a max file size of 5120KB per picture.
If you would like your ad to be featured on our site click the Featured Ad box towards the bottom of the page. Make sure to select your desired Ad Package.
Click “Proceed” to review your ad posting and select your method of payment.
How do I remove an ad that I have posted?
You may remove an item by going to the “Dashboard” that is located in “My Profile.” Here you will see all your posted ads. You are given the option of either Editing or Deactivating your ad. Once deactivated, your ad will no longer appear to other users.
What are the fees for selling on myoutdoorgear.com?
We offer our members a variety of Ad Packages to choose from.
$0.50 for your ad to appear for 30 days
$0.50 for your ad to appear for 60 days
$0.75 for your ad to appear for 90 days
$1.00 for your ad to appear for 120 days
If you would like for your ad to be featured on our home page a $5.00 posting fee will be applied to your selected Ad Package.
myoutdoorgear.com does not offer refunds once an ad has been posted.
How do I pay the seller?
In order to purchase an item on myoutdoorgear.com you must first contact the seller of the item you want to buy. The buyer and seller will then decide upon the most convenient method of payment. This may include, but is not limited to, check, money order, or PayPal.
Can I sell firearms through your site?
myoutdoorgear.com does not permit the selling or purchasing of firearms. This includes, but is not limited to, rifles, shotguns, pistols, air rifles, and pellet guns.
